Millet, A vast amount of food is available for free, just under our eyes, but it is largely ignored. Millet, despite being an important element of our diet for many years, has mostly been forgotten until lately. Millet has been traced back to the Stone Age, and unique varieties of millet have even been discovered in archaeological sites such as Mohen-Jo-Daro and Harappan. There are around 6,000 species of millet in the world, and because they aren’t finicky about soil and water, they provide a key source of energy and protein for over one thousand million people in dry and semi-arid areas
